While the Spring Summer colors 2016 set forward trends such as powder salmon and blue Hydrangea, also referred to it as sky blue, they’re difficult to wear if you’re of certain skin complexions. Therefore, I prefer to go for stronger, more classic colors, from the essence of this summer’s key colors.

Fuchsia – Hot pink, or Fuchsia, is not only often found in my bi-annual collections, but I tend to wear it a lot every time I choose to wear color. If not in my outfit, then in my accessories. Its flattering, its feminine in a powerful manner and its just so refreshing. Fuchsia is a color that you can easily channel in the summer or winter. It also compliments many other colors where you can color block it with different tones from the color wheel.
Tip: Best color combinations are the ones opposite each other.
Electric Blue – Electric blue and sometimes royal blue is a color I’m proud to associate myself with as it marks the launch of my ready-to-wear collection. Its such a powerful color, which portrays confidence and I am a confident woman speaking to equally confident readers, or at least I hope so. You can wear a silhouette in electric blue and match it with a variety of accessories. Electric blue and poison green will grant you compliments left and right, because they’re beautiful and stand for power.
SHEEN presents a variety of truly cool and refreshing colored leather watches all suitable for this summer season. What’s amazing is that any watch I tried coordinating with my selected garments for this post worked perfectly. The electric blue one complimented my royal blue Valentino dress. They’re this season’s must have watches!
White – My comfort zone, the single color that claims all others including my top pics for summer colors 2016, is always on my list. Summer, winter, white is always perfect. It is the combination of all colors, while black is the absence of color. Its entire family from ivory, creme, off white, and more suits most skin tones and brightens them. It portrays purity. Not to mention that while you sunbathe and get that bronze glow, white or gold are the most flattering among other colors.
Orange – Orange is an acquired taste when it comes to colors. You either love it, or not so much. I personally LOVE IT and you’ll be seeing more of it through me (hint*hint). However, its a more difficult one to wear when you have a warm skin tone (if you have more greenish veins) because orange is from the warm color family. That means, it works best with cold skin tones that have more blue veins. In other words, if you’re a warm skin tone, opt for cold colors and vice versa. The great news is that your accessories can be of either cold or warm tones as long as you feel great about it.
On my lazy days, I tend to wear a lot of black. Its easy, simple and slimming. It gets challenging when I don’t have the energy to wear any makeup, which makes my look less glowy. That evidently reflects on my mood. So I pick a SHEEN leather watch in any statement color to transform my look. That then motivates me to wear more appropriate (and colored) shoes/ bag and perhaps throw on a colored scarf. This way, with no makeup or much effort, I look elegant and trendy.
