For a beautiful 2014 start,
Raya Abirached wore a charcoal fully beaded AIISHA couture gown to the finale of the Arab’s Got Talent. That was a new take for Raya and I salute her for it! Raya has been maintaining her classy style while giving us something new every now and then. Hope you like her look like I do!
Beautiful Raya, thank you as always for choosing AIISHA!
I had the pleasure of virtually meeting the www.al-sahafa.us Editor-in-chief Ms. Fatina Salaheddine on Twitter, who planned my interview with Rosanna Akhavan. It was a very light and transparent conversation and it felt like I’ve known Rosanna forever!
Its quite detailed and put together in a very lovely way. Read on..
Thank you Fatina and Rosanna for such a lovely interview!

On the 18th of November, Nicole Scherzinger sizzled in a hand-beaded halter neck figure hugging AIISHA couture gown in dark charcoal at the X-Factor UK! She looked like a statue of perfection.. stunning and breath-taking.
This dress will be available this December at Frost Boutique on Al Wasl Square, Dubai - UAE, and requires approximately 2 months for completion when ordered. Nicole certainly sets the standard up high as she constantly steels the show with her fierce sense of fashion at the X Factor.
Thank you Nicole Scherzinger and Laury Smith for the beautiful work!
Its no surprise that I love dressing Raya Abirached and she loves to wear AIISHA. It was also beautiful to see her in one of my cocktail numbers from the I by Aiisha “Mirror” collection we launch showcased last April. Raya accessorized the look with Azza Fahmi jewelry, which I thought was very beautiful and gave the look a fierce effect.
This lady looks beautiful in anything she wears simply because of her character and pure beauty. She’s got a skin complexion that works with a lot of colors and textures and ultimately makes it more fun to dress her.
I love you Raya!
While I was giving my second collection from my recently launched ready-to-wear line I by Aiisha final finishing touches, my first collection is still harvesting its success in Hollywood!
On the 28th of August, singer and actress Keri Hilson looked gorgeous to perfection with her darker hair, long braids, beautiful gold accessories wearing a long black Dita gown from my I by Aiisha Fall/Winter 2013 collection. Keri kept it simple yet sophisticated.
Keri was beautifully styled by Monica Rose as she arrived to the premiere for the third installment of the science fiction thriller “Riddick”, in which she plays “Shirah” a prisoner opposite action star Vin Diesel.
To tell you more about the Dita dress, this is one of the most special pieces to my heart as it appeals to every woman. You can wear it open back with a long slit with the button loops acting as decorative elements, or you can close them for a more conservative look. The best thing about it is that its so simple and calls for statement accessories. I have made it in beautiful colors like cobalt blue, red, black and off white. I have to say that the Dita dress is the signature dress from I by Aiisha.
Thank you Keri Hilson, Monica Rose and Style PR for a beautiful outcome.
Inspired by a tea party with sorbet icecream and cupcakes, this collection brings a fresh spirit to every woman’s closet. With its cocktails frocks and kaftan chiffon dresses, every woman will find what she loves in it.
The final challenge for the Faces “Wojooh Jamalek” competition on MBC TV was all about passion. The contestants were given the freedom to create anything, even draw on the body.
The results didn’t do it for me and were in fact slightly disappointing.
Lina gave me the perfect face makeup emphasizing on simplicity and practiced her calligraphy skills by writing a poem verse by Nizar Kabbani about Baghdad – her hometown. I just wondered where did all the great work that I’ve seen from her across the weeks go?
Below is Lina Hussein with her model.
As for Namareq, no doubt my eyes went straight to her model from the explosion of colors that were going on there. It certainly speaks passion, but an overload of that portion. It was too much texture going on, despite my admiration for parts of it, and the drawing on the body was imperfect.
Namareq said that the work she’s done needed more time and I believe her.
Below is Namareq Al Mansoury with her model
Its too unfortunate that they didn’t make me wonder much which is best because neither one was that great. I just think that if you’re not so good at body painting or that if you would need too much time, then do less of it rather than spend a lot of time trying to work it out. Its just hard for me to believe that after all I’ve seen from them, these looks are their “Best Work”, because they’re not. I’ve seen them do tons better.
In the end, both finalists were incredible throughout the competition. They have demonstrated a level of professionalism and creativity that I haven’t seen in a long time in the Middle East. In general, the decision was hard to make. Lina Hussein was announced the winner and Namareq Al Mansoury is the runner up for this competition and will be the official makeup artist for my upcoming look book.

The program was presented by the beautiful Hind Boumchamar and I salute her and her team for their hard work presenting this beautiful program.
Also a big thank you for FACES and Mahmoud Rashad for the opportunity of being a judge on this show. It was a great experience.
A successful look portraying the queen of gold who loved her people and was betrayed by them, rises from the dead to revenge – by Namareq
Lina Hussein proved me right once again. The model behind her makeup looked beautiful and truthfully this was the first time this model looked that good in this competition. Lina can simply make anyone look more beautiful. Lina portrayed a Queen of love full of romance.
Risellene is the perfect makeup artist for fashion shows. With her European approach, she proves to be very creative and thinks outside the box. Unfortunately, she doesn’t relate much to the Arab market. This look specifically didn’t feel complete and the gold paper was too spread in an incoherent way, especially under the eyes, it didn’t do it for me. Hard luck for Risellene; however, rest assure this is a name you will see a lot more of in the near future.
Next week’s episode will be the finale. The challenge is all about Passion. It will be a tough one. However, because both finalists are incredibly good, I have announced that the runner up will be the official makeup artist of my upcoming lookbook. Stay tune.
