I truly love this woman as I relate to her. She’s classy, elegant, and is constantly evolving. I’m very proud to be associated with Raya Abirached when it comes to her fashion choices or any other choices for that matter.
Raya opened the live episodes of Arabs Got Talent 2015 wearing a black ready-to-wear Aiisha Ramadan bodycon and closed the show at the finale wearing an indigo blue Aiisha couture draped silk gown embroidered using Swarovski crystals. I love how she wears my designs perfectly. Tight enough to highlight her beautiful figure and conservative enough to keep it elegant.
For the People’s Choice Awards, Rita Volk wore an AIISHA couture cocktail dress in black and nude. This little number was all hand-embroidered with Swarovski Elements an hand-cut out to reveal the silk nude lining underneath. As a result, this combination gave Rita a chic and edge. She was even named as one of the Best Dressed by MTV and numerous other media, I couldn’t agree more!
Rita Volk is a beautiful young actress and is the star of Faking It, which was nominated for Favorite Cable TV Comedy.
My favourite part is that I can see how my fashion is attracting the young starlets I think because we both speak the same language. We are both young at heart yet can pull out a great sense of fashion and edge. I love this language.
Thank you to Rita Volk and all team behind this placement!
Pop artist Hanna Perez, from the Latin American duo Ha-Ash, wears I by Aiisha dresses from our ready-to-wear SS14 collection “Primrose Path” at the MTV Millennial Awards 2014.
Hannah pulls off two of our favourite dresses, “Future” and “Bubbles”. Both dresses are fun and are made of unique textiles. Future is a multi-coloured printed Italian piece that reveals the separate lining underneath due to the holes in the fabric. Bubbles is made of a neon mandarin eco-friendly incredibly light and foamy textile from Switzerland with hand embroidery using Swarovski Elements on the bust.
I had the pleasure of virtually meeting the www.al-sahafa.us Editor-in-chief Ms. Fatina Salaheddine on Twitter, who planned my interview with Rosanna Akhavan. It was a very light and transparent conversation and it felt like I’ve known Rosanna forever!
Its quite detailed and put together in a very lovely way. Read on..
Thank you Fatina and Rosanna for such a lovely interview!
I finally launched my first ever high-end ready-to-wear line I by Aiisha and little did I know it would take the Middle East by storm! Women are hungry for pieces with class and quality for everyday and I’m giving it to them. After realeasing our I by Aiisha video campaign for our collection titled “Mirror” with celebrities Joelle Mardinian, Asma Lmnawar, Mohamad Abuobeid and Arjan Bajwa, it was time to give Dubai a real taste of my new line.
The story of this line is about women’s individuality and evolution. With simplistic lines, statement colours and structured fit, this line suits women with differing needs, backgrounds and tastes. Specifically, the ‘Mirror’ collection reveals the 2 sides of every story and multitude of characters that each person can embody.
Our vision for the brand came to life with support from the Infiniti Centre, part of the Arabian Automobiles Co. A powerful, luxurious and classy brand, these same elements are incorporated within our ‘Mirror’ collection. Months of hard work and planning was facilitated with the cutting edge technology of the Blackberry Z10. Wella Koleston crowned the models and Asma Lmnawar’s hair with trendy hair styles reflected in clean lines of perfection. Revlon was a trendsetter painting the models nails with black French manicure on nude base.
Revlon also touched the models faces and Asma Lmnawar’s with brushes of beauty marking fierce cat eyes on structured nude faces. 5 star catering DISH and Voss water from Norway treated invitees with a refined taste and refreshing water.
Select invitees received their invitations with a special treat that made their hearts beat so fact! A beautiful La Prairie gift bag!
Finally, I wish to thank my partners, press & media, family & friends for their amazing support! I couldn’t have done it without you.
Its time of the year where fans nominate their favorite designers and boutiques for the Grazia Style Awards. If you have a minute, please nominate me Aiisha Ramadan in the “Best Regional Designer” section and Frost boutique for the “Best Boutique”
After the success of our first bridal collection for Frost, we decided to pleasantly surprise our clientele with a collection that is set to redefine the parameters of white elegance. Aiisha’s White for Frost 2013 bridal collection bridges the intricacy of couture with the understated glamour of ready to wear.
This ready to wear collection, which is more relevant to our Couture style using extensive amounts of Italian tulle, silk and French lace is set to appeal to a true modern yet timeless bride. Sleeves and beaded lace with an antique style hand beading are the main elements reflected in this collection that marks the return of “less is more”. Less skin to show will only make the bride appear more gorgeous than even through our designs that were inspired by the authenticity and of iconic bridal dresses across the history of bridal couture. Dramatic trains are the focal point of our signature pieces. Adorned with Swarovski Elements, some have the lace speak a fairy tale for its viewers.
Our collection is sold exclusively at FROST Boutique, which is on the 1st Floor of the Palm Strip Center, Jumeirah Beach Road, Dubai – UAE. Moreover, we continue to offer our bespoke service for the bride that wants a customized detail on her big day.
Kristina Anapau wears AIISHA – Courtesy of Stndrd Magazine
Magical is the word I said when I saw this photo of actress and ballet dancer Kristina Anapau. Magical is the same word I said when I watched “Black Swan” where Kristina starred opposite Natalie Portman, Mila Kunis and Winona Ryder. She also stars in True Blood in addition to few movies down the line.
I have a unique fascination with ballet dancers. They move my soul. They touch my deepest emotions and although I never laugh watching them, I always feel enriched.
Stndrd Magazine feature Kristina in their June 2012 issue in an article about true elegance and Audrey Hepburn where Kristina wore an AIISHA champaign dress and looked.. Magical!
To quickly wrap up what I saw at these fashion shows, Atelier Versace, was an amazing presentation of their Couture collection – however, I clearly saw the similarity between their colors and those of Elie Saab’s Couture collection from the past year with the Dove Grey being the main “new” color. I just wonder why the international press never points out such things while Elie Saab was accused of copying Chanel with his White collection.
The entire collection blinged heavily and was well structure. It also had a lot of the golden metal which Stephane Rolland also had in his fashion show during that fashion week.
Anyway, at the Versace fashion show, I saw Diane Kruger, Anna Wintour, Cameron Diaz, Anna Dello Russo and Grace Cunningham. Here’s the glimpse I caught of Anna Wintour
