Its funny how months and months of preparations are summarized into a few minute fashion show. Anticipation, press pages, people asking for invitations left and right, all for a few minutes. Usually our fashion shows vary between 20 – 60 minutes. Our 3D Virtual Fashion show with Ariel hosted by Celebrity Stylist June Ambrose on the 30th of June in Dubai was a 4-minutes fashion show. In these 4 minutes, we showcased a capsule of 15 pieces from the entire collection that will be showcased in October this year.

4 minutes were the conclusion of several months of making the dresses displayed and about 2 months day and night preparing the 3D fashion show. Preparations involved selecting the models, deciding on the different hair and makeup styles to make the models versatile, dresses that would work, music, animation ideas, filming, editing and so on.

In terms of dresses, we weren’t able to use any transparent dresses – which was a big problem , shiny dresses such as satin or heavy crystallized surfaces, feathers, or any green pieces since the shooting took place in a studio fully painted in green.

The hair and makeup had drastic changes in between each 2 outfits which ended up with 6 – 9 different looks for the 3 models used. We went for defined eyeliner (my personal favorite) and bold lips, Red – Fuchsia – Red/Orange. I was so lucky to work with one of my favorite makeup artists Samira Olfat and one of the most talented hair stylists Massimiliano Luca Comella

Every change in the video, took a 24-hour rendering. We had 3 animations created: Model blowing a kiss that spread into powder – Model throwing an actual flower and then its petals spread and felt like they were coming onto the audience watching – Model winking, which circulates into bigger winks. In the final cut, models walked out as if on a stage that was virtually built. The process took a lot of hard work from AIR, who came up with a beautiful result that was later set to be the first ever Virtual 3D Fashion Show in the Middle East and to my knowledge in the world!

I can’t stress enough on how special this collection is to me. From this collaboration’s perspective, the photos I chose to display show the powder tones used, the texture and the powerful yet simple cuts. From a personal level, this collection has been nourished with a lot of love and passion over the past few months. I can’t wait to show you the whole series in October. You will see AIISHA’s soul in each and every piece and I hope you’ll love it the way I do.
